The purposes of the organization are to elevate the plane of nursing and increase the interest in the field of nursing. Guided by the motto, “Service for Humanity,” the Sorority has programs focusing on awarding scholarships and achieving the mission of identifying a core of nursing leaders who affect social changes at the international, national, regional, and local levels. To achieve the Sorority's mission, Gamma Chi Chapter provides annual scholarships and assigns mentors to qualifying undergraduate student nurses. The Bellamy, Rowser, Binns Chi Fellows Award is a minority student nurse scholarship that was established in honor of three members within the chapter who embodied leadership.
